Missions: Global

Missions has been a big part of Providence Church since its beginning.  We are known as the little church with the big heart.  Each Sunday we feature a section of our worship service called the Missionary Moment which focuses on the missions efforts of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, and we pray for the missionaries each week.

We are a part of the CBF Adopt-a-people program.  We support the mission efforts of Rick and Ellen Burnette who work in Thailand with the Palaung people.  We have hosted the Burnettes at our church 4 times over the past 12 years.  We have helped build a well in Thailand for the Palaung people and have supported Upland Holistic Development Project which helps the hill tribe people of Northern Thailand.

Tennessee Partners in Missions

Providence has a special collection each year in addition to a regular budget item to support Tennessee Partner in Missions, the Tennessee Cooperative Baptist Fellowship's mission outreach in the state.

Missions: Local

Our local mission efforts include regular donations to Helping Hands of Putnam County, the Cancer Care Fund of Cookeville Regional Hospital, Neverfail Community Church in White/Cumberland Counties, Tennessee CBF Partners in Missions. Partnering with First Methodist Church in Cookeville, we built a house for Habitat for Humanity.  Most recently we have partnered with Rebuild Haiti, a community organization made up of area churches and organizations.  Providence Baptist Church has a heart for missions.
